Our Property
Aquae Sulis is a sunny, south facing Edwardian property (14
bedrooms) with car park just minutes from the centre of Bath
on the Bristol side of the city. Built at the turn of the
last century, we combine old world charm with the
conveniences and services expected by today’s sophisticated
traveller. Our lovely period property retains many original
features and is just over a mile and a half from the centre
and the sights. We have a lovely patio garden at the rear
which offers the perfect spot to unwind with a refreshing
drink after a summer’s day of sight-seeing!

Your car and access to the centre
Parking in Bath is hard to find and expensive and we have
the great advantage of being able to offer free parking in
our private car park as well as unrestricted and free
on-road parking. You can leave your car with us and enjoy a
25 minute level stroll along the river Avon into Bath
centre, or hop on a bus (stop just outside – service every
12 minutes during the day). A Park and Ride bus stop is just
six minutes walk away which operates a non-stop service
every 15 minutes to the centre (£2.20 return). A taxi ride
to the centre is £5.00. If you would prefer to take the car
into town, Charlotte Street car park is just at the end of
our road, below the Royal Crescent (about one and a half
miles from us) and is the cheapest long stay car park in
Bath.

Our rooms
All our bedrooms are individually decorated with empathy
for the Victorian heritage of the building and have
their own brand new bathrooms, many with larger showers.
We have a variety of room types for single/double/twin
and family occupancy (pictures on our website) and the
prices include a large English breakfast. We offer free
secure WIFI access in all our rooms, and for those
travelling without their laptop, we have a free internet
cafe at our guests' disposal. Facilities in the rooms
include beverage tray (with Fairtrade products), kettle,
iron and board, trouser press and hairdryer. All rooms
have LCD wide screen TVs with Freeview and Sky.

Eating Out
As for eating out, we have a great local pub just a six
minute walk away on the river, the Dolphin Inn, where
children are welcome until 9pm. The food is delicious, good
value and plenty of it! If you like Indian food, we can
recommend the Desh which is a 10 minute walk away, next to a
take-away Pizzarella, and a five minute walk in the other
direction is the Boat House pub on the river Avon which also
offers all-day food. We offer snacks here in the evening if
you don’t feel like venturing out. |
