High Beeches is situated on the Southern edge of Bath
surrounded by glorious countryside, in an area of
outstanding natural beauty but only a short distance from
the centre of Bath with the rolling countryside and village
of Southstoke behind us. We are located between the main
campuses of the University of Bath and Bath Spa University
with the MOD Foxhill offices, Bath Clinic, Wessex Water, St
Martins Hospital, Prior Park and Monkton Combe Schools all
very close. It is easily reached from the M3 M4 and M5
motorways and also from the A36 and A303 routes south, rail
(Bath Spa 1.4 miles) and air (Bristol International 15
miles).

Guest facilities at High Beeches in Bath
High Beeches is a wonderful and extremely peaceful large
Edwardian family home offering three
superb Triple/double/single letting bedrooms with
marvellous views over Horsecombe Vale in the Midford Valley
and across the hilltops towards Midford Castle and beyond.
Situated in one of Baths best residential areas where the
countryside meets the City, the house is in a superb
location, easily reached from the M3 M4 and M5 motorways and
also from the A36 and A303 routes south. It is also on the
route of the frequent number 13 bus service to the city
centre. There is private parking at the rear of the
property, well away from the road. The rear garden backs
onto an area designated as being of Outstanding Natural
Beauty and enjoys sightings of all sorts of wildlife and
some fine walks. |

The house was built in 1910 of Bath stone in a prime hilltop
location overlooking beautiful countryside, with
north-easterly views along the valley. It is a few minutes
walk from the famous Wansdyke and the ancient village of
Southstoke with its unique 15th century Packhorse Inn which
offers some excellent draught ales and cider along with
delicious food.

on the right of our website page page. A short drive away
are many other excellent country pubs. Car parking is
available well away from the road, where guests are welcome
to leave their car while visiting Bath - avoiding costly car
park charges in town. All rooms have Wi-fi access. |

There are three extremely well equipped
non-smoking triple/double/single rooms available, all with
ensuite shower rooms.
Two bedrooms have double king size beds and the third has a
super king sized double bed (or twin beds if required) + an
extra single bed/sofa with a DOUBLE POWER SHOWER.
All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and extremely
comfortable with coffee and tea making facilities, TV and
hairdryer. |

Breakfast at High Beeches in Bath
After a comfortable night’s sleep guests can enjoy a
healthy high quality breakfast in the beautiful family
dining room overlooking the gardens. The breakfast
consists of fresh fruit juice, fruit, yogurt, cereals,
toast, and a choice of hot drinks with tea, coffee or
chocolate all be available.
This is then followed by a fully cooked English
breakfast comprising sausage, bacon, tomato, egg,
mushrooms and baked beans. We serve breakfast between
7.30am and 9.30am but can be more flexible in terms of
timings on an individual request basis.

you make your reservation through our website, you can
in fact pay by credit card using our Paypal Account.
Otherwise full settlement of the bill should be paid by
cash (GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, or NZD) or by cheque with
guarantee card.

How to
find High Beeches in Bath
Directions from M4
From M4 take junction 18 then A46 signposted to Bath.
After about 8 miles come off the dual carriageway
(signposted Bath) and at roundabout follow signs right
to Bath, then following signs A36 Bristol turn left at
first traffic lights after Morrisons supermarket and
over the river Avon, past the fire station on your left.
At traffic lights fork right at the Crown pub, still
following A36 Bristol. Follow road for about 0.75 mile
then at the White Hart pub turn (second) left into Prior
Park Road (signposted Combe Down). Drive 1.1 mile and
turn right at crossroads into North Road. After 0.9 mile
turn left onto Southstoke Road. At the crossroads turn
left into Midford Road. High Beeches is on the right
after 300 metres, just after a track called CRANLEIGH
but if you are driving secure car parking is at the rear
of the house after turning right at the CRANLEIGH track,
then first left again by the gate marked CRANLEIGH FARM.
We are 50 metres down the small lane on the left with
blue garage door. This will bring you in to the back of
the house where you will be greeted & walked round to
the front of the house.
Directions from Bath city centre
From city centre, follow signs A36 towards Bristol. At
the large roundabout where the railway crosses the A36
and the river, follow the A367 Wells Road (signposted
Radstock). After 1.75 miles, at the end of a dual
carriageway, branch left on the B3110 (signposted
Frome). At the mini-roundabouts continue on the B3110.
After the Cross Keys pub, High Beeches is on the right
after 300 metres, just after a private road, Cranleigh.
Secure car parking is at the rear of the house after
turning right at the CRANLEIGH track, then first left
again by the gate marked CRANLEIGH FARM. We are 50
metres down the small lane on the left with blue garage
door. This will bring you in to the back of the house
where you will walk round to the front.
Directions from M3/A303/A36/B3110
This is the best approach from London.
Head away from London on the M3, then after Basingstoke
take the A303. About 5 miles after Winterbourne Stoke,
take the A36 (signposted Warminster). Keep following the
A36 and, after about 25 miles, at Wolverton take the
B3110 through Norton St Philip, Hinton Charterhouse and
Midford. After Midford the road climbs a steep windy
hill. At the top it levels out and High Beeches is on
the left after 500 metres, just before a private road,
Cranleigh.Keep going as secure car parking is at the
rear of the house after turning left at the CRANLEIGH
track, then first left again by the gate marked
CRANLEIGH FARM. We are 50 metres down the small lane on
the left with blue garage door. This will bring you in
to the back of the house where you will be greeted and
walked round to the front.
