—gracious living for discerning romantics—
|
Hinton Grange is a quiet country hotel, nestling at the
bottom of hill in the sleepy village of Hinton, surrounded
by some of the prettiest countryside around Bath and the
Southern Cotswolds. With the earliest parts of Hinton Grange
dating from the 15th century, this beautiful Victorian
farmhouse provides the ideal and truly romantic setting for
those who wish to escape the city, and recreate the style
and charm of a more elegant and leisured age.
Set in six acres of stunning park land, and
surrounded by trees, gardens and a beautiful lake, Hinton
Grange retains all the old character and ambience of the
15th century farm house, barns and stables.
Low beams, stonewalls, blazing open fires and candlelight in
all the lounges and dining rooms, create a romantic old
world charm and ambience of an age past. Hinton Grange
provides the perfect base from which to discover the best of
Bath and the Cotswold’s. |

Most rooms have antique working Victorian fireplaces, lit on
request, and four-poster beds. Delightful Victorian bathing
alcoves and antique décor create the atmosphere of an
elegant bygone era. Imagine
yourself in an antique roll-top bathtub...push aside the
screen and savour the romance of your blazing open fire and
4 poster bed, Victorian style!
Dining by candlelight in your own room and in front of your
own open fire...with waiter service, course by course –
truly romantic!
All the rooms at Hinton are unique, and all special in their
own way. Furnished with antiques, most rooms also have
modern en-suite facilities, as well as mini bars, hairdryers
and televisions. Most other
rooms have four poster beds and Victorian bathing alcoves,
where you can relax in a rolltop bath in front of a blazing
fire – with a glass of champagne of course!
All rooms are individually decorated and furnished, giving
each its own unique character and charm. Most rooms have
garden terraces overlooking our lawns or ponds. |

The Olde Inglenook restaurant is the perfect setting for
a romantic candlelit dinner. The cuisine and wine cellar
are superb and served in front of a roaring open fire.
Our Head Chef, and Martin Dickens, the hotel manager
take enormous pride in the quality of our menus, which
are written daily and use local produce wherever
possible to ensure freshness and quality.
Everything on our menu is homemade, from the bread rolls
to the ice creams. We’d
be pleased to talk to you about booking your table, or
the whole restaurant for any special occasion. We’re
pleased to provide those particular requirements to make
any occasion that bit more special.
The Conservatory is a quite unique restaurant with a
casual feel, where tables are set amongst exotic
flowers, banana and palm trees. With a large pond
running through the centre of the room, the Conservatory
has a wonderfully intimate atmosphere and is a truly
magical and romantic dining experience.
