Brit Award winners JLS Play Westonbirt

Brit Award winners, JLS, the most successful new group of 2009, will be playing a special forest concert this summer, at Westonbirt Arboretum, as part of Forestry Commission Live Music. JLS have had a phenomenal 12 months. Their first two singles 'Beat Again' and 'Everybody In Love' debuted at No 1. Their debut self-titled album released in November 2009 entered the charts at No 1 and has sold well over a million copies and their new single 'One Shot' which is out February 22nd through Epic Records, is currently proving another hit with radio stations across the UK. As well as outstanding record sales, JLS have been picking up awards along the way including two MOBOs for Best Newcomer and Best Song for 'Beat Again' and two 2010 Brit Awards for British Breakthrough Act and British Single for 'Beat Again.' Commenting on the booking, Simon Hough, Events Manager for Westonbirt Arboretum said, "I am delighted we have secured a date with the hottest pop act of the moment. LION AID in Bath

On March 18th, LION AID will host a Fundraising Gala Evening at Bath Racecourse from 7 pm. Art will be auctioned, and tickets for the event are available on the LION AID website (http://www.lionaid.org/events/fundraising-events/bath-gala-dinner-dance-and-auction). It promises to be an evening of note, all to support LION AID programmes to reverse the decline of Africa’s lions!  And on March 19th, LION AID will temporarily shroud the lions in Victoria Park from 10am, as a symbolic gesture to represent the loss of wild lions in Africa. The city of Bath has both historical and present connections with lions. The city Coat of Arms prominently displays a lion. Bath will also sponsor from May to October a giant pride of 100 individually decorated, life-size lion sculptures to raise funds for local charities.  For further information please visit www.lionaid.org

Keane Play at Westonbirt 2010

Peter Green Plays Komedia

Peter Green is arguably Britain's most influential blues guitarist and founder of Fleetwood Mac.  In the late 1960s, Green fronted Fleetwood Mac when the band played a hard blues-rock sound, scoring # 1 with classic instrumental Albatross, before the pressure of fame forced him to quit the music scene for many years. Diana Vickers Plays Moles

Having been an X-Factor finalist in 2008 Diana took a step back from the pop world to take on the new challenge of playing the lead in hit West End musical Little Voice. She is now signed by RCA records which puts her in the company of some greats such as Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Kelly Clarkson, and Christina Aguilera to name but a few…..We eagerly await the release of Diana’s first album, and hope it encapsulates the friendly ,bubbly, crazy, and quirky personality that we all love.
