Bath Soup CompanyThe Bath Soup Company, a community-centred social enterprise, will provide Bath Rugby fans with hot soup during their next home game.

The agreement will see soup being served at the Recreation Ground on 21 January, when Bath Rugby face Glasgow Warriors in the European Cup.

The Bath Soup Company, run by University graduate Dominic Povey, originated following his success in the Apprentice-style empty shop competition run by the Students’ Union.

Commenting on the agreement, Bath Rugby Marketing and Communications Director, Jez Curwin, said: “After listening to feedback from our supporters we are delighted to offer another food alternative on match day. We hope that everyone enjoys it just as much as we do.”

Based on serving the community, the company aims to provide a real benefit to the public, both from its soup and the way it’s made – The Bath Soup School.

Bath rugby Fixture ListExcerpt from wikipedia: Bath Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in existence, having been founded in 1865 by members of Lansdown Cricket Club in Bath (founded 1825) for ‘something to do in the winter’[1]. This is the reason why the club colours of the two clubs are identical. With an original home base at North Parade, Bath then led a nomadic existence during the 1800s playing at Claverton Down, Lambridge Meadows, Taylor’s Field and Henrietta Park. They then leased a plot of land at Pulteney Meadow where today’s Rec stands.

On 14 April 2010, Bath Rugby announced a change of ownership and set out exciting and ambitious plans for the future of the club.[2]
