Healthcare Advice, Information and Treatment
- No Appointment Necessary.

NHS Walk-in Centres offer fast and convenient access to local NHS services, information and treatment without needing an appointment. They do not replace local GP or hospital services but complement them.

The Bath NHS walk-in centre is based in a central joint Health Centre site - and is improving access for visitors, the local workforce, shoppers and residents to primary and secondary care. It is also helping to improve services for Bath’s significant homeless population.

The centre provides a venue for health promotion provision and for voluntary organisations. The centre provides a nurse-led service with appointments made from the NHS walk-in centre to patients’ GPs if necessary including agreement from local practices to take temporary residents on a rota basis.

The centre also helps ‘sign-post’ patients to other health, social and voluntary services and complements existing provision in a city which benefits from close working between primary care and other services.

The Bath NHS Walk-in Centre offers the following services:
- Advice on local GP and pharmacy services
- Blood pressure checks
- Contraceptive advice
- Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms
- Dressing care
- Emergency contraception
- Hayfever, bites and stings
- Health promotion: diet, exercise
