Welcome to the Bath NHS Healthcare Centre

Opening on 1 April 2009, Bath NHS Healthcare Centre provides patients with additional choice and access to healthcare in Bath and North East Somerset.

We are an 8am to 8pm GP service, open to registered and unregistered patients with or without an appointment, 365 days per year.

From blood pressure checks to contraceptive advice, minor cuts and bruises to statins and sprains, Bath NHS Healthcare Centre offers a wide range of services from: the Riverside Health Centre, James Street West, Bath BA1 2BT.

All other services will continue to run at the Riverside Health Centre. These include Riverside GP Surgery, emergency dental surgery and the contraceptive and sexual health service (CASH). The nurse-led Bath NHS Walk-in Centre currently operating will be incorporated into the new Bath NHS Healthcare Centre.

 

How can we help you?

Bath NHS Healthcare Centre provides access to a GP or nurse seven days a week, 365 days a year, between the hours of 8am to 8pm. Other services located in the same building include the Riverside GP Surgery, emergency dental surgery and contraception and sexual health services.

  • Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
  • Support for stopping smoking
  • Women's health problems


Bath NHS Healthcare Centre is committed to delivering equitable access of healthcare services to all patients and will ensure that there is no discrimination against patients on grounds of age, sexuality, ethnicity, disability or any other factor than clinical need.  Any patient can walk into the Centre and see a doctor or nurse, with or without an appointment, whether they are registered or not.

Directions:

From Bath Spa Railway Station

Turn left out of the station onto the A3039 (Dorchester Street). Get into the right hand lane and continue straight onto the A367 (Green Park Road), which runs alongside the river. Do not turn left over Churchill Bridge, crossing the river.

Continue along the A367, signposted to Bristol Wells. Stay in the left hand lane and continue straight across, through two sets of traffic lights onto Charles Street. At the top of the hill, take a left onto Monmouth Place. At the junction, continue left onto the main A4 and take the first left onto Stanhope Street, which leads onto James Street West.

The Riverside Health Centre can be found on the right hand side.


From Park and Ride

The Newbridge Park and Ride Service runs Monday to Saturday (except public holidays) from 06:15 - 20:30. The bus drop off is on James Street West which is approximately 150 yards past the Centre. Turn back on yourself and the Riverside Health Centre will be on your left.
