Cranleigh is an elegant Victorian house with many period features. Guests are offered a very warm welcome and personal care, the atmosphere in keeping with a well run private house. There are nine delightfully appointed rooms all with en suite facilities, individually furnished and offering every comfort for your stay. Breakfast, served in our elegant dining room, is a feast with a variety of choice from traditional English to our house specialties and vegetarian.

We are licensed and have mini bar fridges stocked with wine, beer and soft drinks - all at pub prices or less! Great for when you have had a hard day in the city and need to relax.   We are located in a quiet residential area with private parking. Newbridge Hill also benefits from no parking restrictions.

We have easy access to the city and beyond. From Cranleigh you can choose to walk, bus or drive into the city center. Walk - its just a mile to the Royal Crescent - one of the major landmarks in Bath. Bus - regular busses run nearby and there is a Park and Ride shuttle which offers non-stop return rides to the Abbey. Drive - just a mile down the road is Charlotte Street Car Park - a large long stay city centre car park with CCTV.

Our sunny south facing garden is a good place to relax on fine sunny days, either to recover from the day or to plan the next whilst browsing the wealth of information we have to hand - maps, leaflets, and recommendations from our previous guests .

Come and enjoy a session in our outdoor hot tub

The tub is located in the garden. It is private and secluded – set with bushes and trees with just the birds to disturb you.

Fantastic in the Winter - When the temperatures drops the water temperature is raised - so you'll never be cold even if its below zero outside! You be able to see the steam rise from the tub so just lay back and relax in the hot and bubbly water - we can guarantee you'll not be cold. The summer house is also heated so you have a comfortable place to change.

Great for that special Romantic Surprise Its perfect for that romantic treat - especially during the evening when you are under the stars. We can create a tranquil atmosphere with twinkly lights.

Total relaxation all year round - Come rain or sun, you will find the hot bubbly water just melts your stresses away. For best results try all the different jets - try twisting and turning the jets for different effects and moving from seat to seat. In warmer weather the temperature of the water in lowered and you can use the decking for sun bathing and relaxing. The mini bar fridge in the summerhouse is stocked with a selection of refreshing drinks.

How to Find Us

From M4 / A46

(Avoiding Bath City Centre and one-way system - This saves at least half an hour plus MUCH frustration)

Leave M4 at Junction 18 and take the A46 to BATH, through the village of PENNSYLVANIA.
At next ROUNDABOUT turn RIGHT on A420 towards BRISTOL
After 1/3 mile follow sign to filter LEFT to "LANSDOWN Park and Ride".
Along this country lane - road dips down then rises to T junction - bear LEFT and UP hill along a flat plain, past the Racecourse & Golf course then road bends left. There is a large pub called the Blathwayt Arms on the right.
About 300 yards/metres past pub take RIGHT turn at new junction to WESTON. Going down the hill, passengers can admire the view, driver keep eyes on the road.
At bottom of hill there is a mini roundabout: take LEFT exit.
Go through village & past pedestrian crossing and "Crown and Anchor" pub then turn RIGHT into ANCHOR ROAD which becomes PENN HILL ROAD. (Signposted BRISTOL)
At the end of this road (approx. half a mile) turn LEFT at T junction.

CRANLEIGH is 500 yards on RIGHT.

From Bath City Centre

Leaving Bath via Queens Square (with Francis Hotel and Obelisk), look for signs towards A4 Bristol, Newbridge, Weston or Royal United Hospital.
At 2nd set of traffic lights at "The Weston" pub the road forks - take the right fork onto the A431
at mini roundabout exit slightly LEFT.

CRANLEIGH is about 1/4 mile on LEFT (on A431)
