Executive Head Chef
Michael Caines MBE is one of the UK’s highest profile chefs and has held two
Michelin stars at the Bath Priory’s sister hotel Gidleigh Park, Devon, since
1999. He has
created a very personal yet classic style of cuisine that utilises the finest
West Country produce and ingredients to produce innovative and exciting modern
European cuisine of the highest order. James Sheridan (previously Sous Chef at
Gidleigh Park) is the Bath Priory’s new Head Chef.
The kitchen team works closely with Head Gardener and Chelsea Medal winner, Jane Moore, to develop menus using ingredients from the Kitchen Garden. Michael and his team will happily discuss any special dietary requirements you may have. Since joining The Bath Priory in February 2009 Michael has introduced a whole range of new menus, including an Early Dining Menu (available from 6pm – 7.30pm), a ‘Grazing Menu’ (smaller plates of the à la carte dishes) and two superb eight-course Tasting Menus. Alfresco dining on the terrace is also available and a ‘Chef’s Table’ – a private dining room for up to 8 guests.

RESTAURANT OPENING TIMES The Priory Restaurant opens daily to residents and non-residents for Lunch (12 noon – 2.30 pm daily) and dinner (7.00 pm - 9.30 pm daily).
